FEBRUARY 07: ARNHEM OAK STORYTELLING

On the final day of National Storytelling Week 2026, join us in Jubilee Park’s Dome, to hear local schoolchildren tell the story of the Arnhem Oak – a story of hope and resilience.

We are very grateful to Gary Brown, MBE, of The Knight School, for working with schoolchildren from St. Andrew’s School on this project.  The children who are delivering the story will be completing the task necessary to achieve their Blue Badge from St Andrew’s School, within the school’s Seven Knights award scheme. This badge is for public speaking, and is one of the most difficult badges to acquire!

A representative of the Parachute Regiment will join us to present each child storyteller with a Pegasus award.

Tickets to watch this storytelling event are ​FREE, but booking is essential.
